Nableena was founded at 13rd January 2003, originally named Nableena Box. The band initially had been formed by Son of Awacha on the guitars, Gualter Couto as the drummer and Pedro "Urso" Valério as the bass player. From the beginning, defining itself as a studio band, meaning its greatest purpose an exquisit composition to the detriment of live performances, Nableena did not persue any kind of specific musical style. As the result of the most different influences, Nableena is a cocktail of scandinavian original Black metal with a slight touch of ethnical elements, melted in an extensive sample use along with Doom and Thrash elements, among others. Soon that year André “Carosso” Tavares joined the band as the second guitar player and Pedro Couto was in charge concerning live samples. Unfortunately, the lack of a singer led to a one year pause in the bands activity.
Thus in 2005 Nableena embraced Death Metal/Melodic Hardcore wave, restarting its activity and exploring 3 guitar harmonies, as Pedro Couto began to beat the shit out of his psychodelic rock star apocaliptic Metal-kicks-emo-ass Sword-meets-Axe guitar!!!
In 2006 Nableena won a second position in a bands contest thanks to singers Filipe Vale from “Oppressive” and Joao Melo, and performed at the II Rock Marathone at Ponta Delgada`s Coliseu. Luis "Gazela" Franco joined Nableena.
Nableena are now recording their first demo.
